A stellar career ahead

Melvin the hairy frog is a character I created and i am extremely proud of... It has so much potential as well as the possibility of spinning many a yarn with Melvin involved as the central character. 

In fact, I have 2 more written and ready to send to Paul, my son and designer, so that they are set in the best and most amable format.

If you have a copy of Melvin The Hairy Frog you will see what I mean about the design. 

The pages aren't just there, they are formatted into lolly pads. 

My aim is to have all the stories involving Melvin, inovatively presented.

Freedom & the circle of life

Fantastic processes... Reading a work of fiction should be  a release from the constraints of life.
Freedom for your mind to escape and fly into a world of imagination.
A world where you paint the pictures in your mind from the words you read on paper or a screen.
Connections with the author and their penmanship, their translation of thought wave and ideas to recognisable word form.

Legally Lucky was my first novel.
It has been well received and it has sold some.
However, even if I say so myself,  it's not has the acclaim I hoped it would receive.
Being a self published author, I have not marketed my work as much as I could have,  that doesn't help!
However, it is a fantastic read and the opportunity to read it for 0.99 is upon us.

Writing books - Challenging

Writing books is an ongoing hobby for me.
The story teller within me has loads to impart.
Ideas flow and I try to capture these thought bubbles into words.
The next step is to arrange the random plethora of words and ideas into a rational and flowing stream.
Once this is done, review the flow and see if it makes sense, is it engaging? Is the story working as well as it did in my head?
Next steps are getting the editing done, the cover work, the publishing and all the rest of the stuff that goes with it.
In-between all this, there are several interruptions to the work flow... the phone, work, life!!!

My aim is to one day write a book in a few days. Something contemporary in a genre that will lead to more sales but more importantly, more readers getting familiar with my work.
I think I have written 4 pieces that are contemporary and innovative. Four books that will challenge the readers imagination and novels that will stand out.

Having written and published 4 books (Legally Lucky, Mental Dental, Phobic Wars and Phantasms in the Infirmary .. all available on Amazon by the way..) the challenge remains marketing them.
As a self published author, the demands on my time are many.

I cannot seem to spare the time to go on book signings, tours and more time on social media promoting them!

I hoped that the books would be discovered and enjoyed by many more people than what the results are.
Disappointing as it can be, its a labour of love and not a business.
I remain resolute that they will be seen, read, enjoyed and shared among many people.
One aspires to getting a book into film... and from these, there are possibilities that could one day become film... especially Mental Dental (Murder by Proxy). This was an exhilarating ride to write it and a blooming good read
In the meantime, I continue to writ more stories, have more ideas and even more interruptions!!!
Such is life eh!

The question is, are ghosts and apparitions all bad?

An Exerpt from Phantasms in the Infirmary...

Joe was also aware of the cardiac monitor beeping crazily away in a rhythm less cacophony of electrical noise.
The monitor was now showing ventricular fibrillation, an irregular, pulse-less action that was as unproductive as a non-beating heart in asystole.
‘V.F. arrest’was now being loudly muttered among the attendants.
More drugs were being pumped into his veins; he could feel the cold sting of the chemicals entering his body in an attempt to rectify the situation.
The pain became more intensive. It was just before the darkness took over again that Joe saw her again, the nun of death...

Over the last few months we have been collecting some new stories to share with you in the sequel to Phantasms in the Infirmary.
Hospital horror stories that will continue to entertain you and frighten the reader...  Once Vol I was read,  it will leave you wanting more.. It is a completely different and innovative genre with a niche market that will suit all.
The copies of Phantasms in the Infirmary are being download, read and enjoyed by many. In order to keep the momentum and readership going,  Julie and I intend to complete the follow up by the summer.
