I have always had an interest in ancient mythology.. Román, Egyptian and Greek in the main. This inspired me to write Phobic Wars
I am just watching a great documentary on BBC 4 - Atlantis: the evidence - a time watch special. This has just reminded me why I wrote it and what inspired me. I have been lucky enough to visit both Egyptian and Cretian places of historical significance like the Nike and it's temples as well as Knosos in Crete. Minoan society may well have been linked to the Atlantian one, so probably the closest I would get to the ancient culture.
They were awsome and an inspiration to visit.
Furthermore, originating from Gibraltar, Atlantis has always fascinated me.
Was Atlantis destroyed as a punishment by the God's, sending a Tsunami 65 feet high, eruptions and quakes, cataclysmic disasters that would destroy the ancient societies of the world in the BC era?
Phobic Wars is an apocalypse inspired tale that takes the reader close to the edge of a repeat of the devastating effects of annoying the God's and messing with nature.
The story describes a fictional twist that may have happened... Why not?
It is fiction and written to be enjoyed. Nuclear power in ancient times? Well it is fiction after all.
Plato wrote about some memorable stories that set the rise and fall of Atlantis. It captures our imagination, despite an absence of hard evidence.
Throw In some yucky bugs and mythical creatures with a resulting powerful read... Phobic Wars
I have written a few books and although it needs revision, I urge you to read this and share the legend.
My worst nightmare... I hate bugs.
IIt's like Phobic Wars has met Phantasms in the Infirmay....

A Predatory cockroach that hunted at night... Yuck!!!
Was this out from my book Phobic Wars?
Get a copy of Phobic Wars on Amazon Kindle and paperback.
Check it out and see if this is related to my creatures from the past that threatened an apocalyptic end to life as we know it.
Environmentally responsible and creepy with a clever plot within a plot...
My foray into the mythology and intrigue of scifi.
Phobic Wars : is science fiction meeting science fact, myths and mystery blended with a love story to boot.
Set in Italy and the UK, this book will keep you on your toes.
Bugs, flying ones v mythological creatures that turn the baddies into heroes.
The environmental undertones are also present, making it an ethnically sound story.
It was my second novel and I enjoyed writing it. It's received some mixed feedback but it is a wonderful novel that you have to be fully engaged and immersed in.
It's available on kindle and paperback, free kindle version if you purchase a paperback version.
Here's the link to the amazon UK site
Phobic
As the author of a book based in cockroaches and their effects... Disgust etc but then made them the heroes... I still think that this is a bad idea...
What a better way to say, ‘I love you’ than by naming a roach after someone you love,”
Google alerts sent me this brilliant link... about cockroaches.
It identified the most despised insect, the winner :Cockroaches.
However a university in Belgium said they have great personalities, akin to cats and dogs... Really?
Obviously, I'm going to point you in the direction of my second novel, Phobic Wars... But please read the full story on this link. Comments please.

Did he know more than he let on?
Surely he must have read Phobic Wars...
Meet Joey, one of the main protagonists of Phobic Wars
'Joey was a smart, mature and well adjusted individual.
He was going places in life, so long as there were no roaches involved. He had the potential to be a great leader of men, either in the political arena or in business, he could achieve anything. However, these episodes made Joey and his nearest and dearest wonder what he would amount to; surely no person could feel safe if the person in command responded like this to a diminutive insect?
What would this be interpreted as? How can you respect someone who is so frightened of an insect? Is the sign of some fragility a positive trait? This was not a question that needed answering, however Joey pondered on it, on his weakness.'
Phobic Wars, my second book and my leap into blending fiction, scifi and legends together plus a dash of phobia to boot.
The book itself needs a revision which I am aiming to get done this year.
The story however, I think is brilliant.
I thought it was clever and original.
People seemed to shy away from it, maybe because for a long while it only carried one review and it was bad...
It has been read by other readers and received good reviews.
This is great as my 'misunderstood middle child' is a great addition to my family of books.
Thoroughly enjoyed writing this and I am sure once you read it, you too will enjoy it. Click on the following link...
The day he had dreaded for so many weeks had finally arrived, and the hour of potential torture and pain was now unequivocally unavoidable. He sat in the cold, clinical waiting room, a bundle of nervous fear stuck on an uncomfortable and well worn chair, firmly between the white walls scattered with posters of people with perfect, gleaming smiles. Trying to remain composed and focused, he attempted to divert his worries and think positively. He watched the public interact with the friendly receptionist as she tapped their details on her computer and smiled at the grateful punters as they smiled back and made follow up appointments. ‘Why can’t I be like that?’ he thought to himself. John was in his thirties and an accountant by profession who was no stranger to stress. However, he quizzed himself on why he was being so scared and negative at coming to the dentists and why he would react in this way, every time he had to be there. He knew the inevitability of this all was worthwhile in the end and after all, what was the worst that could happen?
