Grandfather tales

Summer is nearly over. The year continues to fly by, it will soon be Christmas again.
No one wants to see the year end, however, it's wishing your life away.
However this year, I look forward to it as we will become grandparents yet again. The newest leaf in our evergreen family tree is due on 1st of January.
Baby G, we await your arrival with bated breath.
I cannot wait to meet you, greet you and welcome you to our family. Blessed with you and yours forever.

In the meantime...  Back to books!

Grandparenthood is around the corner

This is a blog entry with no mention of my writing..
I am posting this because in little over 5 weeks baby G  will be making an appearance.
Our first grandchild,  the newest leaf on our family tree,  the next generation.
We are so excited...

Obviously,  I will post a pic on here when he or she is born...
My prediction,  a boy,  8 lb 3oz...
However, in truth I will be happy no matter what... 😃

Financial rewards

Writing a book was something I've always dared to do..
My reason,  a legacy, a chance to be different,  an opportunity to create a piece of work that was far removed from my day job as a clinician.  It was a dare and a passion.  The last thing on my mind was the financial gain.

Four books in,  I'm still driven by the same things.
The drive is still to share a creation,  a moment in my mind that is allowed out in public. Beautiful, scary, clever and complex yet different.

All four books are different :
Legally Lucky is a sweet story with a moral lesson in life.

Phobic Wars,  a complex story of cockroaches and Atlantis intertwined with green issues and love.

Mental Dental (MBP)  is a release of energy,  a twisting and twisted killer thriller that involves innovative streams,  you've got to read it to believe it.

Then there's the new baby,  Phantasms in the Infirmary.
This again is different in many ways.  It's a compilation of chilling tales some on experiences in hospital for many years.  It's also different in that it is coauthored by my wife,  Julie.
It's a great compilation and the different style of writing is brilliantly blended.

All four books are out there to be enjoyed. Here is the link to my Authorcentre on Amazon... Don't be a stranger and please visit

Week off... For baby

Working full time in the busy health service is very tiring but rewarding.

Assessing and treating the sick,  management of the busy teams under my wing,  paper work...  Mountains of it....

Having time to write is not easy.
There are always more important things to take priority.

I have taken a week off to catch up on writing and finishing off some stuff.
However,  the other stuff has taken top priority,  especially as one of them was becoming a grandad!!!

March 2015 is when we meet the next generation.
We are so excited at becoming grandparents,  such a joy and so wonderful for our son and daughter in law... And us of course!

Please see the scan of our grandchild...

I will be getting back on track soon...
