Things that go bump in the night

Hands up I'd you have never heard of a spooky hospital story!
I thought as much, not many.
We've all heard them and some may have even experienced some.

What about the other stuff you can't just quantity?

We've all had them... That shudder up your spine when something isn't just right.
That chill of fright that is especially strong at night.
The sudden noise or unearthly sight, especially strong in a hospital at night.

Hospitals are buildings full of pain, grief and death.
No other place brings us so close to our own mortality than these institutions.
Ghosts, hauntings, spectral activity and poltergeists galore.
Malevolent spiritual beings and the white angels alike.
Care to visit? Visiting times are now open but... Be brave, the stories will keep you awake and in a high state of alertness.
They are stories, myths and legends in a collection of books you will enjoy.

Phantasms in the Infirmary Vol I and Vol II plus a little more in the Ultimate Phantasms in the Infirmary is a collection of short stories involving spooky goings on in all hospitals.
It's set in one for the sake of the series but it does occur everywhere...

Screaming with fear

For all those who work in hospitals or ever have done, you will be familiar with haunted corridors, wards and spectral shenanigans.
Even if you are not a nurse, doctor or hospital staff, this anthology of ghostly tales is just what you need.
This is a work of horror fiction.
It is a collection of ghostly short commentaries and ghoulish encounters, that occur in a fictitious hospital. All assured to send shivers down your spine.
They are based on tales that have been shared by many hospital staff over many years of work in healthcare.
They have been meticulously developed into the tales contained within this compendium of scary fantasies.

The sightings, strange sounds and sinister goings on of the spectral activity retold in this book are based on true experiences, that have become local folklore in many hospitals.

The presence of those that have “unfinished business”, gripes or other reasons for not wanting to pass on, preferring to linger in the realm between life and death.
Those that are not alive, but then again are not completely gone.

Unexplained phenomenon in hospitals

Having spent most of my adult life and my whole professional career in hospitals and health care,  I decided to embark on writing Phantasms in the Infirmary.
Why?
Well I thought it had some mileage,  with lots of unexplained phenomena occurring daily,  well nightly.
It was a way of telling these stories to those who worked in the same sector and those who pondered on what strange and sinister things happen outside of the obvious. Ghostly staff and patients that linger in the vacuous vaults and corridors of these buildings.
Buildings whose purpose was to look after the sick and injured in society.
Obviously the poetic licence takes these stories into another realm,  another dimension for the sake of entertainment.
However they are based on fact!
The book is a collection of only some of these myths and legends.  They all happen in one hospital but this is a made up place.  It would be unfair to any particular health establishment to be named.

The project took its time and in order to make it more appealing,  I solicited my wife's contribution.  Julie herself had some stores to tell...
The end result,  a well written, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable read.

Pick up your copy on Amazon Kindle and paperback now.  You won't regret it!
Maybe you will,  the next time you are in hospital though.
